Members of the Western Buddhist Order run all Meditation and Buddhism classes. Click on the links below for profiles of the current teaching team.
The Centre is run by a registered charity - the 'Friends of the Western Buddhist Order (Ipswich)', or 'FWBO Ipswich' for short. Our charity number is 1023335.
The Centre is affiliated to the FWBO a Buddhist Movement started in 1968 by Sangharakshita an Englishman who had spent twenty years in India learning from many Buddhist teachers.
The Evolution shop in the Thoroughfare is an FWBO 'Right Livelihood' (i.e. ethical) business. It is staffed by Ipswich and Colchester Buddhists. Through its connection with the Windhorse Trust, the Evolution shop provides substantial support for the Ipswich Buddhist Centre and thereby helps to keep it viable; for that we are very grateful.
